Theme of 2019:
"A New Beginning" Ezekiel 36:26-27
The Week of 1.14.19-1.21.19
Scripture of the Week:
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to anger, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. -James 1:19-20
Word of Encouragement:
Temper tantrums are usually unproductive, unattractive, unforgettable, and unnecessary. In 2019, let go of all bitterness. If you can’t control your temper, pray for wisdom, for patience, and for a heart that is so filled with forgiveness that it contains no room for bitterness!
Dear Lord, sometimes, I am quick to anger and slow to forgive. But I know, Lord, that You seek abundance and peace for my life. Forgiveness is Your commandment; empower me to follow the example of Your Son Jesus who forgave His persecutors. As I turn away from anger, I claim the peace that You intend for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
